About UsThank you for visiting ancientpathsweb.com! This website is a part of Stepping Stones Company, a Christian organization dedicated to the preservation of our national heritage. It is our prayer that this website will honor the memory of our founding fathers and help to educate and equip Americans to return to our Christian foundation. The name Stepping Stones comes from the words of Pilgrim Governor William Bradford, when speaking of the reasons that the Pilgrims came to America: "They cherished a great hope and inward zeal of laying good foundations, or at least of making some way towards it, for the propagation and advance of the gospel of the kingdom of Christ in the remote parts of the world, even though they should be but stepping stones to others in the performance of so great a work. " (Of Plymouth Plantation, p. 21) Our goal is a lofty one -- to help bring America back to its Christian heritage. We realize that this goal will not be attained overnight. So, like the Pilgrims, we simply want to be Stepping Stones to others, the next generation, in the performance of so great a work. We are a Christian homeschooling family. My wife, Sue,
and I have five
children. We have homeschooled
our children from the beginning, and intend to do so until the last one
graduates. We hope to teach entrepreneurial skills to our
children through this company. We designed this website through the
help of an excellent tutorial from Steve Beck's family e-biz website. I
would highly recommend his website tutorial which is called Building
Sites That Sell.
When you put one of the CD-ROMs in your computer, the tutorial
comes
up on your screen and Steve walks you through the entire process,
including
downloading the necessary (and free) software programs, getting your
web host, picking your
domain name, doing keyword research, and designing the website itself. I normally had the tutorial going
in one window while doing the web design in
another window at the same time. If we can do it, you can too!
So, take
a look at Steve's website on Building
Sites That Sell! He also has a great DVD series entitled, How
to Start Your Own Business ... For Families and Teens. Steve
will walk you through the entire process of starting up a business.
This DVD workshop will take you by the hand and guide you through the
small business jungle. When you emerge from the other side, you will
have a business idea with a working business plan and marketing plan
that you can implement right away! Our store name comes from: Jeremiah
We have another website, 1776web.com, that is designed to educate people about our amazing founding fathers. We have resources that will help people research their family heritage, possibly back to the Revolutionary War era. We have a page dedicated to quotes from famous Americans about our Godly heritage. We have a "fast American Revolution facts" page, with trivia and information about our founders. And, for Revolutionary War reenactors, we have resources that will help you find the costumes and weapon replicas you need. Our goal at Ancient Paths Christian Bookstore and 1776web.com is to encourage Christians to return to the "ancient paths", the good ways that our forefathers went. We can learn how to live today by studying the lives of Godly men from the past. If we will travel these ancient paths, walking over the stepping stones that our forefathers laid, we will turn this nation back to its Biblical roots. Then, we will find rest for our souls! So, we hope that you enjoy this site and get lots of excellent information and resources to help you in your pursuit down the ancient paths! Larry Pruett Webmaster ancientpathsweb.com |
