I love this classic book! I read this aloud to my family every November to help us remember what the Pilgrims went through to come to America. It certainly helps us to be more thankful for the amazing freedoms we enjoy in America today!

This book certainly makes my top 5 list for favorite history books of all time. Written by Pilgrim Governor William Bradford as a history of the Plymouth Settlement from 1608 – 1650, this book lays out the real reasons the Pilgrims came to America (it was not for religious freedom). Bradford explains in great detail why the Pilgrims came to America, how they settled the land, and how God provided for them every step of the way. This is one classic that every Christian should have in their library.
