Diana Waring has a fantastic grasp not only of history and how the Lord has orchestrated human events to bring Himself glory, but also of the four basic learning styles - thinker, feeler, sensor, and intuitor. She has geared this curriculum to speak to each learner in the way they can best grasp and remember the material being studied. Each unit is broken down into four weeks of activities, each week geared toward one of the four learners. The thinker will get all the facts, the feeler will get to know the people and their perspective on events, the sensor will learn through a variety of hands-on activities, and the intuitor will be allowed to express him or herself creatively to show others the material that has been studied.
Our children have thoroughly enjoyed this curriculum. We completed this curriculum over a year ago, and even our seven year old still recalls much about this time period she learned via listening to the CDs. I don't know about you, but I had no clue about world history when I graduated high school. I knew American history good enough to spit facts back out on the test, but I didn't see history for what it really is -- all of human history is about God working His will out in the affairs of mankind.
