Marriage	The act of uniting a man and woman for life; wedlock; the legal union of a man and woman for life. Marriage is a contract both civil and religious, by which the parties engage to live together in mutual affection and fidelity, till death shall separate them. Marriage was instituted by God himself for the purpose of preventing the promiscuous intercourse of the sexes, for promoting domestic felicity,and for securing the maintenance and education of children. Marriage is honorable in all and the bed undefiled. Heb.13.	(1): the state of being united to a person of the opposite sex as husband or wife (2): the state of being united to a person of the same sex in a relationship like that of a traditional marriage
Creation	1. The act of creating; the act of causing to exist; and especially, the act of bringing this world into existence. Romans 1. 2. The act of making, by new combinations of matter, invested with new forms and properties, and of subjecting to different laws; the act of shaping and organizing; as the creation of man and other animals, of plants, minerals, &c.	1: the act of creating; especially the act of bringing the world into ordered existence 2: the act of making, inventing, or producing: as a: the act of investing with a new rank or office b: the first representation of a dramatic role
Misdemeanor	Ill behavior; evil conduct; fault; mismanagement. 1. In law, an offense of a less atrocious nature than a crime. Crimes and misdemeanors are mere synonymous terms; but in common usage, the word crime is made to denote offenses of a deeper and more atrocious dye, while small faults and omissions of less consequence are comprised under the gentler name of misdemeanors.	1 : a crime less serious than a felony 2 : misdeed

Can you see the difference in the definitions? Noah Webster gives a depth and description that modern dictionaries simply fail to deliver. Webster's 1828 Dictionary gives more Biblical references than any other reference volume. This is not surprising, though, since Webster considered "education useless without the Bible."
